A 6-month-old baby was found dead Friday in an SUV at a Volusia County middle school.
According to deputies, a teacher inadvertently left the child in the back seat.
The baby was left in the car all day.
Just before 4 p.m., the teacher returned to the car, discovered the child, and called 911.
The child was already dead when a school resource officer reached him just minutes later.
Deputies would not say if the teacher and child are related. They would only say the teacher "was caring for the child."
"We're too early in this investigation to determine whether it will go criminal or not," Johnson told the Orlando Sentinel.
