DELAND, Fla. — Authorities are investigating after a small plane crashed and caught fire in DeLand on Sunday afternoon.
First responders found three people inside the plane with no pulse, the sheriff's office says.
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office says the plane crashed and caught fire around 4 p.m. in a wooded area off State Road 44 and South Grand Avenue in DeLand.

The cause of the crash is unknown.
The sheriff's office says the FAA and NTSB have been notified.
