ORLANDO, Fla. — OneBlood is asking for people with O Positive blood to please donate as soon as possible due to a critical need.

OneBlood said because of an "increased use by area hospitals" they are in need of O Positive blood.

"37% of the population has O Positive blood, making it the most common blood type. Because more people have O Positive blood than any other blood type, it is transfused more often." — OneBlood

To donate, you must be at least 16 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds.

If you do not know your blood type, you can donate blood and the blood center will let you know.
