Southwest Florida International Airport says more than 3,500 cars were involved in a fire near the airport. The Lee County Port Authority says the fire started in an area where rental cars are stored, east of Terminal Access Road.
ABC Action News affiliate FOX 4 can confirm that the fire did not threaten a terminal. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
