UPDATE — Police say the missing girl has been located.

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — A Florida missing child alert has been issued for a 12-year-old Altamonte girl last seen on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say Lisa “Alana” Pearce was last seen by her mother at 5 p.m. in the 800 block of Oak Drive.

When the mother returned home around 5:20 p.m, she noticed that Pearce was not home and the back door was open, police say.

Pearce's family searched areas that she frequents and couldn't find her, so they called police. The family says this behavior is not normal for Pearce.

Pearce is 5 feet 5 inches tall, with red hair and blue eyes. She weighs 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white button-down shirt with rainbow hearts, black jeans and a Vans backpack which had rainbow pattern and kittens printed on it.

If anyone has any information concerning the whereabouts or locates Pearce, please contact the Altamonte Springs Police Department at 407-339-2441 or dial 911.
