A former Escambia County Sheriff's Deputy is out of a job after dash cam video released by the State Attorney's office shows him crashing his patrol car into his ex wife's home in Milton, Florida.
The incident happened in November 2016.
The video shows Timothy Taylor reversing out of his ex wife's driveway and then steering the patrol car to face the home, letting a car pass just before accelerating and slamming into the front of the house.
A woman is seen standing in the doorway moments before Taylor crashes into the home.
Taylor admitted to Milton Police that he was under the influence of prescription drugs at the time of the crash. He told them he tried to commit suicide because of marital problems. Taylor pleaded no contest to DUI and criminal mischief charges.
He was sentenced to two years probation.
