A Florida middle school teacher won't be charged in the death of a baby left in the backseat of her SUV while she taught class last year.

The Volusia County State Attorney's Office on Wednesday said there was "insufficient evidence" to prove an aggravated manslaughter case against Chanda Larson for the Sept. 18 death of 6-month-old Trenton Cason-Collins.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal (http://bit.ly/2ay8ptB) reports Trenton was in the care of 39-year-old Larson. Investigators say she forgot to leave him at daycare after dropping off her own son and another child at a bus stop and a school. She called 911 about 4 p.m. after finding the baby in the car seat.

The newspaper reports Larson was placed on paid leave after the incident and now teaches in the county's online education system.
