KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) — Officials say a man was killed inside his Florida house when he was struck by a bullet fired outside in a fight unrelated to him.
Osceola County Sheriff Russ Gibson tells news outlets that the killing was "as random as random can be" and 57-year-old Darik Febus was "completely innocent."
Three men were arrested Friday on murder charges and booked into the Osceola County Jail.
Gibson says the men had met on Tuesday in a neighborhood of the Orlando suburb of Kissimmee. Outside Febus' house, a fight erupted, and shots were fired. Gibson said Febus had nothing to do with the suspects.
The suspects also face kidnapping and robbery charges.
