A box of puppies left abandoned on the side of a road in Tampa last month have found new homes.
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay put the puppies up for adoption on Thursday, and within minutes they were adopted.
People started getting in line two hours before the location off Amernia Avenue opened.
The puppies were found by a person near the intersection of Busch and 22nd Street on February 2, 2016. Of the eight puppies, seven of them survived. All of them had severe mange.
All of them have gone to good homes.
Sadika Day got in line more than an hour before her chance to get her hands on one of the puppies, "there's only five left," she said, "I feel the odds are in my favor."
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay offers affordable veterinary care to the public seven days a week at the Animal Health Center (813-870-3304).
