Police Department's all across the Tampa Bay area were surprised when volunteers showed up around noon to serve them lunch. The group Hands Across the Bay delivered sandwiches and pizza to several departments.

"We just want to show support and let everyone know that we are thinking about them our heart is with Dallas and all of the other police departments around the world," said volunteer Robyn Levy.

Rizzoli's Pizza donated twenty pizza to the Clearwater Police Department. The pizza boxes contained inspiring messages inside of them. Officers said across the Tampa Bay area said they appreciated the sign of support.

"That's a very important aspect, that we understand that the vast majority of the public does support us because if we lose sight of that and we become jaded then we become counterproductive and less serving," said H.C.S.O. spokesperson Larry McKinnon.

Hands Across the Bay members said they will reimburse people who donate food to police departments this weekend.  Click here for more information on Hands Across the Bay.
