Two fires erupt minutes apart in East Tampa

Two fires broke out in the same Tampa neighborhood minutes apart early Wednesday morning. Authorities are investigating to determine if they are related.

East Broadway Avenue east of South 50th Street was abuzz with fire trucks and police cars shortly after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

A fire was reported at East Tampa Mobile Home Park, 5250 E. Broadway Ave., at 2:35 a.m. Wednesday, according to Tampa Fire Rescue.

Firefighters on the scene told ABC Action News a travel trailer was engulfed when firefighters arrived on the scene.

The fire was quickly extinguished.

The travel trailer had no electricity. Authorities were uncertain if anyone lived there.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters responded to a second fire call a few streets away at 2:51 a.m. Wednesday.

A vehicle was burning out of control at 2210 64th St. N. in Tampa. North 64th Street and East Broadway Avenue intersect.

Tampa Fire Rescue officials said a Toyota Rav 4 was destroyed

Authorities said they did not know whether the fires were related, but are keeping an eye out for any sign of a possible firebug in the area.
