Suspect stabs victim riding scooter in Tampa

Tampa Police Detectives are asking for information from the public to help identify a man who attacked a victim that was riding a mobility scooter in the area of N. 13th Street and E. Sitka Street in the Sulphur Springs community in Tampa.  
 
According to police, the unknown black male suspect attacked the victim by stabbing him with an unknown sharp object on Wednesday at 2:25 a.m.  As a result, the victim sustained several lacerations.
 
The suspect fled the scene after taking the victim's cell phone. He is described as a tall black male, approximately 6'02", 210-220 lbs. and having facial hair.
 
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unknown suspect in this case.  Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS(8477), report anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com or send a mobile tip using the P3 Tips Mobile application, which is a free download for iPhones and Droids. Crime Stoppers must be contacted first in order to be eligible for a cash reward.
