Hillsborough Public Transportation Commission (PTC) has reached an operating agreement with Uber and Lyft.
The agreement with Uber and Lyft was reached Wednesday morning and creates a legal operating standard for the two companies through the end of 2017.
“The operating agreement approved today means that riders and drivers in Hillsborough County will have continued access to safe, reliable, affordable transportation options and flexible work opportunities through the Uber platform,” said Uber’s Public Affairs Manager Javi Correoso in a statement.
This will potentially create a legal framework for all ride shares in the County to operate legally.
