Tampa Police Detectives have issued an arrest warrant for a man they believe fatally shot a Tampa man during an argument they had back in July.

Homicide Detectives have issued an arrest warrant for Dejonta Jerome Felder, 22, for the homicide of Julius R. Carter, 32, who was killed on July 3.

Police say that Felder and Carter were arguing and that it appeared as though Carter attempted to turn or walk away when he was shot in the 3400 block of Phillips Street.

As a result of the altercation, Carter suffered multiple gunshot wounds and fled to the backyard of a nearby residence where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police say that Felder and Carter got into a verbal argument earlier in the week before Carter was shot and killed, but have not stated what that argument was about.

Felder is described as a black male who is 6-foot-1 and weighs approximately 225 pounds.

Felder is wanted for Murder in the 2nd Degree with a Firearm and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Felder also has outstanding warrants for FTA Possession of a Controlled Substance, FTA Possession of 10 or more Counterfeit Bills, FTA Operating Unregistered Vehicle and 2 counts of FTA No Driver's License.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the location and arrest of Felder for these outstanding warrants. Anyone with any information regarding this fugitive and who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at www.crimestopperstb.com or send a mobile tip using the P3 Tips Mobile application. Crime Stoppers must be contacted first in order to be eligible for a cash reward.
