Police and Fire Rescue put out brush fire in New Tampa subdivision

Crews with Tampa police department and Tampa fire rescue worked a brush fire at a subdivision in New Tampa on Friday morning. 

Around 6 a.m.  on Friday morning residents could not get in or out of Hawthorne Estates subdivision. At 6:21 a.m. Tampa police updated Action News and told us all roadways are now open. 

The brush fire was reported near the 19200 block of Autumn Woods Avenue. 

Crews put out the fire and cleared the scene around 6:45 a.m. on Friday.
