A couple is showing their devotion to the Tampa Bay Lightning by naming their newborn daughter after player Nikita Kucherov.
Baby Nikita was born Tuesday at Florida Hospital Tampa weighing 8 pounds, 11 ounces.
The parents found out during a Lightning game that they were going to have a baby, according to the hospital. They decided whoever scored the first goal of that game would become their child’s namesake.
Maybe the little one will provide some luck as the team vies to return to the Stanley Cup playoffs for a second straight year.
