HCSO search for bank robbery suspect

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating a bank robbery in Tampa and need the public's assistance identifying the suspect. 

The suspect entered the Chase Bank located at 2802 Fletcher Avenue and produced a note implying that he was "Heavily Armed" and demanded money at approximately 2:00 p.m., according to deputies. After receiving an undisclosed amount of currency the suspect fled eastbound on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25 - 30 years of age, approximately 6'8", thin build, short hair, black mustache and goatee.  He was last seen wearing a maroon checkered shirt, under a black jacket with blue jeans that had white discolorations on the front, and carrying a black backpack.

Anyone with any information reference the suspect is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200.
