Cheer on the Lightning tonight in Channelside

It's Friday night, so why not don your Bolts blue and head downtown to cheer on the Lightning as they take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round of the Eastern Conference finals.

The team is hosting their official watch party at Channelside Bay Plaza starting at 6 p.m. tonight.

There will be food and drink specials and fans can win prizes and interact with the Lightning Bug and the Lightning girls.

The game will be broadcast on a 9' x 16' LED television.

Because the watch parties have become so popular, the main hub of the event will be in the Garrison Street Parking lot with overflow in the plaza at Channelside.   This lot is off of Garrison Road attached to the Channelside Bay Plaza area. The Garrison Street Lot and Garrison Road will both be closed

Typically, the watch parties are at Amalie arena but because of the Disney on Ice show the party was moved to Channelside

The puck drops at 8 p.m.
