The Davis Islands bridge was temporarily closed Tuesday after a gas leak in the area, according to Tampa Fire Rescue.
The gas leak near South Hyde Park Avenue and West De Leon Street was secured shortly after the bridge closure.
A landscape company punctured a natural gas line at 409 Bayshore Blvd., where a building belonging to Tampa General Hospital sits.
Traffic to TGH was not impacted, according to hospital officials.
