It's that Time of Year Again: Shark Week! Celebrate the start of Shark Week with tons of toothy fun and get to know these remarkable and threatened ocean predators on June 25th & 26th from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Florida Aquarium celebrates sharks all year round but the Shark Week celebration will be extra special—you can see numerous different species of sharks throughout the Aquarium while enjoying fun shark-themed activities all day long!
Guests will enjoy interactive shark themed activities that highlight different and unique aspects of sharks:
- Shark Senses - Guests will be able to mimic the sharks electronic senses.
- Shark Sizes – Measure yourself to find out how you compare with some of the world’s shark species, and learn the truth about the extinct Megalodon!
- Shark Teeth and Fossils – Find out how to tell what a shark ate based on the size and shape of its teeth.
- Shark Age – Discover how to determine the age of a shark and find out how old these predators can really be.
- Shark Trivia - Enjoy this interactive shark themed trivia game in front of the Aquarium’s 500,000 gallon coral reef exhibit.
- Participate in a shark-themed scavenger hunt to learn fun facts about our sharks and their relatives.
