9/11 observance ceremony held Friday

Tampa Fire Rescue will host a 9/11 observance ceremony at 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 9 at the Tampa Firefighters Museum.

General seating is from 8:35 a.m. until 8:55 a.m. at the museum, 720 E. Zack St. in Tampa.

Mayor Bob Buckhorn and members of City Council, along with local EMS and law enforcement officers are scheduled to attend.

Fire Chief Tom Forward will serve as master of ceremonies.

The ceremony will last about 20 minutes. The public is encouraged to attend the event, which will honor those who died during the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
