Tre’shawn Taylor, 11, is a sixth grader at Progress Village Middle Magnet School in Tampa.

Taylor is now a published author with his book “It Was All A Dream.”

“I wanted to inspire other little kids to follow their dreams, because our society is so chaotic these days,” said Taylor.

Taylor wrote a children’s book to inspire kids his age to do the right thing, work hard and go after their dreams. He says it was his mom’s idea when he was in fifth grade. That’s when he started writing.

Now that he is in sixth grade, the book has been published and is now available on Amazon.com.

It’s a short story about a boy who has big dreams for his life, but some bumps in the road make those dreams seem impossible.

Taylor says he isn’t a fan of reading, but loved writing this book; so much so that he plans to publish another.

He says he has done several book signing appearances, including at a Bay Area Barnes and Noble.

His advice from the book applies to both the young and the young at heart.

“Never give up on life and always follow your dreams. Don’t let anyone change your dreams.”
