Worker shocked in St. Petersburg, power to thousands in downtown area restored

A construction worker who came in contact with a live power line in St. Petersburg has been rushed to the hospital.
 
It happened in the area of 2nd Avenue North and 1st Street North in downtown Friday.
 
The worker has been rushed to Bayfront Medical Center as a trauma alert.
 
More than 2,000 Duke Energy customers were without power due to the incident. Since then power has been restored to all Duke Energy customers.
