20-year-old killed in St. Petersburg double shooting

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating a double shooting that left one dead and another injured.

According to police, it happened in the 4200 block of 14th Ave S. just before 5 p.m.

When officers arrived on the scene they found a 20-year-old Christopher Miller critically injured from a gunshot wound. Officers performed CPR at the scene and he was transported to the hospital, but he died of his injuries. Investigators believe he was shot during an altercation.

John Walker, 53, suffered non-life threatening injuries about a block away. Police investigating the two incidents as if they are connected.

 No word on a possible motive.
