St. Pete police: body of woman found in alley behind homes

UPDATE | 3:00 p.m.--

First responders have confirmed the woman was deceased and a homicide victim based upon evidence at the scene. She was identified as Taylor Anne McAllister.  McAllister was 22 years old.

ORIGINAL STORY | St. Pete police are investigating the discovery of a body found in an alley behind homes in the 2100 block of 63rd Avenue South. 

Detectives say they are treating this as a homicide. 

The body of a 22-year-old woman, who lives in Pinellas County, was found just before 8 a.m. on Thursday. Detectives say the woman did not live in St. Petersburg. Police will release her name once next of kin is notified. 

If you have any information about this case, please call 727-893-7780. Police are looking for people who may have heard anything suspicious between 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the area of 62nd Avenue South and 22nd Street South. They are also looking for any surveillance video from homes in that area.
