Police are looking for a driver who killed a bicyclist in a hit-and-run in St. Pete Thursday night.
John H. Sampson, 58, was hit just after 11:45 p.m. in the 3300 block of 6th Street South.
Investigators determined an unknown vehicle had hit Sampson and left the scene.
Sampson was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
The vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene without providing the information required by law.
