One person injured in shooting on Gandy Blvd. in St. Petersburg

Pinellas County sheriff's detectives are investigating a shooting on Gandy Boulevard in Pinellas County early Sunday morning.

Deputies responded to a call in the 10300 block of Gandy Blvd. in unincorporated St. Petersburg shortly after 2:30 a.m..

Authorities say paramedics transported 25-year-old Tyler J. McNett to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Early Monday morning deputies reported McNett is in stable condition at the hospital.

Through the course of their investigation, detectives determined that Tony Thongdeng was the suspect. They obtained a warrant for 2nd degree attempted murder for the 29-year-old. Thongdeng has not been arrested.
