One dead in St. Pete house fire, officials investigating

St. Pete Fire Rescue is investigating a deadly fire in St. Pete on Friday morning. 

The fire at the intersection of 10th Avenue and 25th Street North is currently under investigation. The Fire Chief tells ABC Action News the fire started on the second floor of the home and was extinguished quickly. 

Crews say a female victim was found in a bedroom on the second floor of the house. Her cause of death is unknown at this time. The identity of the deceased has not been released until family is notified. 

Officials have not released further information at this time.
