St. Petersburg police officers arrested Verna Dean Harrison on Monday on charges that she used her vehicle as a deadly weapon in a Publix parking lot.

According to the incident report, Harrison, 67, became disgruntled at the way another customer had parked her car.  This all happened at the Publix at 250 Third St. S. in downtown St. Petersburg.

"The defendant opened the victim’s car door and started to yell," the report says. "The defendant then slammed her car’s door against the victim’s car.”

When the victim tried to leave, police said, Harrison backed up her vehicle and “crashed into the victim’s car.”

Police said Harrison was arrested a few hours later after she fled the scene. Harrison is charged with felony aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

ABC Action News contacted the victim who wish to remain anonymous and not talk about what happened.
