If you rely on Gandy Boulevard to get around town, a detour coming later this week may alter your commute.
A contractor will begin performing work on westbound Gandy from 9th St. to 16th St. on Friday, Feb. 26, and Saturday, Feb. 27, according to a release from the Florida Department of Transportation.
Traffic will be detoured from 10:30 p.m. and 6 a.m.
The detour: Traffic will make a right turn at northbound Roosevelt Boulevard, a left turn at the southbound I-275 ramp, with traffic continuing southbound on I-275 and exit at SR 694 at the Gandy exit (28).
Detour signs will be installed on the night of the closure to direct traffic.
