Cocaine drug bust in St. Petersburg leads to arrest of convicted felon

Police arrested a St. Petersburg man after finding a large amount of cocaine in his home.

Vice and Narcotics detectives executed a search warrant on a house at 2467 44th Street South on Thursday afternoon.

Inside the house they found one kilo of cocaine, 15.5 grams of crack cocaine, 1.63 pounds of marijuana, and 8.5 grams of ecstasy.

Police arrested 33-year-old Chauncey Gregory for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He will also face federal charges for armed trafficking in cocaine.

According to Sheriff's Office records, officers previously arrested Gregory in

Pinellas County for trafficking cocaine in 2010 and possessing cocaine in 2012.
