The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating a domestic related incident at 2528 13th Avenue South.

A 17-year-old girl was struck by a car driven by a 26-year-old man, according to police.

Police say at approximately 8:30 p.m. on July 10, Robert Templeton, 26, was visiting the home to see Alana Simpson, 27, when the pair started arguing. Templeton reportedly struck Simpson, causing physical injuries.

He left the residence in his vehicle and circled back around the alley behind the home. Templeton intentionally drove his car at Simpson and a 17-year-old girl.

Simpson's leg was hit by the car and she sustained minor injuries. However, the teen was hit and sustained multiple serious injuries. Police say one of the victims is related to Templeton.

The teen was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and is in stable condition.

The suspect and vehicle were located several miles from the scene and Templeton was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery and Domestic Battery. He is currently being held at the Pinellas County Jail.

St. Petersburg Police Officers continue to investigate the incident.
