UPDATE | Pinellas County detectives have charged 18-yea-old Bailey Jenkins and 18-year-old Thomas Loudin with an additional charge of shooting or throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle. This charge was added when they connected the pair to a drive-by shooting that took place at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday in St. Pete Beach.

Pinellas County detectives have arrested two men who they say shot a man visiting St. Pete Beach with a high powered pellet gun when they were drinking.
Detectives have arrested 18-year-old Bailey Jenkins and 18-year-old Thomas Loudin who detectives say are responsible for shooting the victim, 51-year-old Kurt Alan Lang, on Saturday morning around 12:16 a.m.
Pinellas County detectives say the firearm used in the shooting was a high powered pellet gun.
Both suspects admitted to drinking alcohol, shooting randomly at objects and at the victim who was walking with his cousin near the Beachcomber Resort on Gulf Boulevard.

Pinellas County detectives say the charge of shooting or throwing a deadly missile into an occupied vehicle in Treasure Island is related to another crime that took place less than 30 minutes earlier. Treasure Island police said they got a call about someone in a white car, possibly a Chevy Impala, throwing a projective through an Uber car's back window. Turns out, it was a bullet. That driver and passenger weren't hurt. That incident was on the 10000 block of Gulf Boulevard at 11:52 p.m. Friday night.
