A man riding a bicycle was struck and killed late Monday afternoon, police said.
The crash occurred around 4 p.m. in the 5300 block of Park Blvd.
The bicyclist crossed into the path of a 2002 Ford Sport Track . The driver tried to avoid a collision, but couldn't, police said.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
All westbound traffic on the roadway was shut down.
Police describe the victim as a homeless man. He has not been identified.
No charges were filed against the driver.
