A man has been arrest for the death of an infant. Jeremiah Dillard has been arrested for Murder in the First Degree in the death a 54-day old child. The incident happened back on September 24th, 2016 when the child was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead at 3:24 a.m.
The Medical Examiner ruled the infant’s death a homicide. They believe the cause of death was asphyxia with contributing conditions of blunt trauma and malnutrition.
Through interview and evidence the St. Petersburg Police department was able to establish probable cause and arrested Dillard on Saturday. He has been booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
