UPDATE | Riverview teen Alex Baumgarten, 13, has been found safe. He was spotted walking on Fairlawn Drive by a resident who recognized him from media reports.
Detectives are interviewing Baumgarten to determine the circumstances of his disappearance.
ORIGINAL STORY | Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office detectives are searching for a missing 13-year-old. Alex Baumgarten was last seen at his Riverview home at 11425 Lake Lucaya Drive in Riverview at around 4 p.m. Saturday.
After an argument with his parents, Baumgarten walked away from the home with his dachshund mix dog. Baumgarten is diagnosed with depression and is on medication.
