A Sarasota County deputy captured video Monday of a driver heading in the wrong direction in Interstate 75’s breakdown lane.
Ryan Fleury, 21, of Port Charlotte, was later stopped by law enforcement. He had a blood-alcohol level of .28, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. That’s 3 ½ times the legal limit.
Deputies say if you see a wrong-way driver, try to move safely out of the way or come to a complete stop so you can dial 911.
