MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — Video released by the Manatee County Sheriff's Office shows deputies arrest a wanted man following a dramatic pursuit.
Thomas Grieco, 29, was arrested after running from an attempted traffic stop. Deputies say he had multiple felony warrants out for his arrest.
The video shows him run over deployed stop sticks in his car on I-75 north before getting out and jumping over the side of the overpass. He then ran under the interstate, through the median and then across I-75 south.
Grieco kept running as deputies and K9 Loki followed him. The video shows Grieco hiding in some bushes on the other side of I-75 south when he was found and bitten by Loki before being taken into custody.
Deputies say he was taken to the hospital to be medically cleared before being taken to jail. Deputies say he had several prior convictions for driving with a suspended or revoked license and was "charged accordingly" in this arrest.
