SARASOTA, Fla. — Three people were rescued from the water off Lido Beach on Monday afternoon, according to emergency services.
The Sarasota County Fire Department responded to the scene near the 400 block of Benjamin Franklin Drive around 3:30 p.m.
Sarasota County Emergency Services says that one of the patients is a 10-year-old boy who is being transported by Bay Flite to All Children's hospital.
Two adult patients, one male and one female, have been transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Sarasota Police are asking people to avoid the area as they continue to assist with traffic control.
