Silver alert cancelled: Elderly couple evacuating for Irma found

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office cancelled a silver alert after finding the Yezic's safe in Venice.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help locating an elderly married couple who have dementia who have not been seen since Saturday.

Husband and wife Milan Yezic, 89, and Lucille Yezic, 86, were last seen on Saturday at approximately 7:30 p.m. in the area of Ocala at a gas station near I-75. They were headed to Pennsylvania to evacuate during Hurricane Irma. They have not yet returned to their home on Golf Club Lane in Venice. Neither have cell phones and both suffer from varying degrees of dementia.
 
The vehicle they were last seen traveling in is described as a 2004 beige Mercury Grand Marquis bearing license plate GESL71. Mr. Yezic is 5-foot-8 and weighs approximately 180 pounds. Mrs. Yezic is 5-foot-4 and weighs approximately 175 pounds.

Anyone who comes into contact with the couple is urged to call 911 immediately.
