Sarasota police have arrested and charged John M. Pyle, 59, of Sarasota, with 15 counts of possession of child pornography.
After police received three separate cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, a search warrant was executed at Pyle's apartment.
Sarasota Police Detectives worked with Detectives from the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office to check any computer or cell phones found in Pyle's home for child pornography.
During the initial search, detectives found two bondage images of child pornography, 15 images of sexual conduct and 31 child pornography with no sexual conduct.
Under Florida State Statute 775.0847, possessing more than 10 images and or video of child porn qualifies for an enhancement to a second degree felony.
The case remains under investigation and police say more charges are possible.
