UPDATE| Cynthia Chiu has been located according to Sarasota Sheriff's Department.
SARASOTA, Fla. — The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing woman who they say may be disoriented from a recent medical event.
Cynthia Chiu is 39 and described as a 5 foot tall Asian female weighing 125 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and was last wearing a blue fleece top and black pants.
Deputies say Chiu was last seen on surveillance cameras walking north from 140 Columbus Blvd on Siesta Key. A recent medical event means she may be confused and have difficulty speaking, deputies say.
She is here visiting Siesta Key and was reported missing around 8 a.m. Saturday.
They are asking anyone with information to call them at 941-861-4900 or 911 in am emergency.
