SARASOTA, Fla. — The Salvation Army and faith-based partners are providing cold weather sheltering for those in need on Sunday.
The Salvation Army at 1400 10th Street in Sarasota will be open.
They are conducting their normal cold weather operation plan for Sunday.
The front porch opens at 4 p.m., with the intake expected to begin at 6:30 p.m. The front porch will reopen at 4:30 a.m. and remain open until 5 a.m.
SCAT routes 2, 7 or 8 are operating on normal schedules.
The New Hope Community Church at 5600 S. Biscayne Dr. will also be open. They are opening at 8 p.m.
SCAT routes 9 and 28 are also operating on a normal schedule.
Emergency Management officials want to remind residents that pets should not be left outside during the cold weather.
