Deputies are currently investigating a robbery at a church. It happened at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant on 7950 South Tamiami Trail in Sarasota around 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Deputies say that they suspect approached the victim and asked for money in the parking lot. When the victim refused to give him money, the suspect grabbed the persons arm and took an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect fled from the church on foot and has not been caught.
The suspect is described as a 30-35 year old white male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, long brown hair and a beard. He is wearing jeans and a blue-black backpack.
