MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A Manatee County detective resigned Thursday morning following his arrest Wednesday night.
Deputies responded to a home in Palmetto at about 9:45 Wednesday night.
45-year-old Jeffrey Bliss was ultimately arrested for domestic battery against his wife.
Bliss was a detective and had been employed at the Sheriff's Office for 16 years.
