HOMELAND, Fla. — A driver was killed in a Polk County crash involving a school bus Thursday afternoon.
Deputies say it happened on Homeland-Garfield Road in the Homeland area.
There were four students on the bus. They were checked out by EMS and found to have no injuries. The bus driver and the attendant were also without injuries.
However, the driver of the other vehicle died in the crash.
Deputies say the vehicles collided head-on, and preliminary, it does not appear to be the school bus driver's fault.
