Manatee County Deputies are investigating the death of a Pinellas County postal worker who was killed on Saturday, they believe the victim's home may have been targeted.

Manatee County deputies say on Saturday morning, Dwayne Larry Hutchinson was found dead in his home on Zipperer Road in Bradenton. According to deputies, Hutchinson's wife said two men broke into their home around 1 a.m. and accosted her, then went upstairs and killed her husband.

Hutchinson's wife was taken to the hospital for her injuries where she was treated and released.

Deputies say that he had trauma to his body but do not have a motive at this time. The couple's home was not easily accessible, the home is about a quarter of a mile down a dirt road and a security fence blocks the driveway.

Neighbors tell ABC Action News that this is extremely surprising because the couple generally stayed to themselves. Both Hutchinson and his wife, Melissa, worked for the US Postal Service and didn't have a criminal record.

On Monday, the sheriff's office did not have any new information regarding the incident. Deputies ask if you know anything about this incident in East Manatee County, to call the Manatee County Sheriff's Office at 941-747-3011.
