SARASOTA, Fla. — The Sarasota County Fire Department responded to a possible chemical reaction at Oak Park School in southeastern Sarasota on Wednesday.
Firefighters were dispatched to the school on Wednesday afternoon after smoke or fog was reported coming from a therapy pool building at the school.
Children attending a day camp at the school sheltered in place while crews investigated, according to officials.
The Sarasota County Fire Department determined there was a freon leak and ventilated the building.
