The students at Lee Middle School in Bradenton had a lot of fun on their last Friday of the school year.
"We are having a color run," said student Yazmin Ramirez.
It was $5 for each student to participate, but the money is helping teachers next school year.
"We aren't keeping the money for ourselves. We decided to give two teachers a grant for their classroom," said Ramirez.
Ramirez is in the business club and the students thought it would be a good idea to have a fundraiser to help teachers, because of school budget cuts.
"Beginning of the year, I probably spent $600 of my own money. When things break, they are broken and they don't get fixed," said teacher Richard Daenell.
The teachers will use the money to buy supplies for their classroom.
"The teachers applied for it told us why they needed the money and how many students it would help," said Daenell.
The students in the business club said the event gave them a lesson in giving.
"I learned that I can help others by doing something good," said Ramirez.
