I-75 in Bradenton reopened following overturned tanker crash

Southbound and northbound lanes of I-75 in Bradenton were closed for hours Monday night into Tuesday morning after an accident involving a fuel tanker. 

There were minor injuries reported. 

A fuel tanker and two other vehicles were involved in the crash. The fuel tanker was carrying 8,500 gallons of fuel at the time of the crash. Officials believe 500 gallons was lost due to the crash.

 

 

 

The DOT was on scene to assess the road as crews worked to remove the tanker from the roadway. 

Just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday the tanker was moved from the roadway and all lanes were reopened.
